The UK is blessed with sites that can hold outdoor concerts, whether it be public parks, farmland or sporting stadiums, outdoor gigs can be held pretty much anywhere.

In 2019 there are some brilliant outdoor concerts taking place across the UK, there really is something for everyone.

1. Spice Girls Stadium Tour

Back to spice up your life, the Spice Girls (barring Victoria Beckham) have returned and it is highly likely they are heading to a stadium near you this summer. With Jess Glynne in tow, the Spice Girls are heading on a 12-date jaunt across the UK, including 3 dates at Wembley Stadium. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see one of the countries most successful girl bands take to the stage.

2. Summer Sessions

After last years huge success, Glasgow and Edinburgh Summer Sessions is back and this time it’s bringing with it rock titans Foo Fighters, pop princess Florence & the Machine, indie gods The 1975 and the legendary The Cure to name but a few. The Glasgow edition takes place at Bellahouston Park, the summer sessions boasts some truly incredible acts playing right in the heart of Glasgow. The Edinburgh sessions are held at Princess Street Gardens, in the shadows of Edinburgh Castle.

3. Courteeners

Manchester’s finest the Courteeners return for a special show at Heaton Park this summer. After the huge success of their last stint at Heaton and a show at Lancashire Cricket Ground, the local lads return to their home town with fellow locals James and Pale Waves, alongside Australia’s the DMA’s. This is set to be a truly special evening and one that will celebrate the true giant that is the Manchester music scene, right in the heart of the city.

As it stands tickets for this event are sold out, but any remaining tickets and resales can be bought through trusted ticket resellers. If they do become available, they will be incredibly popular so you will have to act fast!

4. Ed Sheeran

After his successful Glastonbury headline set and stadium tour last year, the one-man band Ed Sheeran is back for five outdoors shows in the UK this summer. He is set to play shows at Roundhay Park in Leeds and Chantry Park in Suffolk. Born in Yorkshire and bred in Suffolk, these homecoming shows are set to be the pinnacle of the summer, he’s even bringing along with him The Darkness and Lewis Capaldi in support.

5. British Summer Time Concerts, Hyde Park

British Summer Time (BST) is back for another year at Hyde Park in London, and this time is bringing with it the likes of Robbie Williams, Barbara Streisand, Florence & the Machine and Celine Dion. Set in the idyllic Hyde Park, BST plays host to some of the worlds best musical artists, and is growing year on year, attracting only the best acts from a multitude of genres. As well as the concerts, they also host an Open House which offers free activities, and will have live showings of Wimbledon, alongside some of the best street food stalls in London.
