Who are Virgin Media?

Cable My Street is essentially a postcode checker where you type in your postcode and it tells you which of Virgin’s services you’re able to have installed in your home. They offer a range of different broadband services and packages with their broadband providing average speeds of 362 Mbps (megabytes per second). This is five times as fast as the download speeds advertised by main rivals Sky and TalkTalk, so I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s pretty impressive!  

If you’re wanting to go up a level, then they offer a maximum download speed of 516Mbps which is part of their Ultimate Oomph package.

You can also pay for the Netflix service through your Virgin Media bill, taking away the stress of having loads of separate payments coming out on irregular dates. Netflix is where you can catch all the latest dramas like Stranger Things, Designated Survivor and catch up on old classics like Gavin & Stacey. It can be accessed on their V6 box, on your phone, tablet and laptop. 

Phone and Mobile

Virgin Media can provide you with both home phones and mobile depending on what you’re looking for. Their home phone deals are available as part of an individual TV or broadband package, or as a combination of the three. You simply scroll through their selections of plans and choose the one that best suits what you’re looking for. You can of course just select an individual home phone package if you’re not looking for TV and broadband. 

They also offer a wide range of different mobile deals for some of the major brands like Apple, Samsung and Huawei. You can select anything from a pay monthly phone to a sim only deal or a sim free phone. Their 4G connection reportedly covers 99% of the UK population and their 4G is widely regarded as one of the best. 

Bundle everything together

If you’re looking for more than one of their services, you can bundle them together into one package. This starts with the basic Big Bundle, you can then add what you need, for example, you can add sports and movie channels to the TV part of the deal. You may not always want everything that’s included in a package so this gives you the option to add and take out what you want. 

If you’re not looking for a bundle you can always get each part of the packages individually. These do vary in price depending on the product but it’s worth enquiring to their customer services team.
